LOYOLA ACADEMY
When Quest partnered with Loyola Academy, the goal was to modernize campus dining to better meet student expectations through expanded, higher-quality offerings and an enhanced hospitality experience.
Built on shared values around operational excellence and community, the partnership transformed Loyola’s foodservice operation into a more dynamic program.
Enhancing the Student Experience
Elevating Quality, Consistency, and Daily Operations
Loyola and Quest modernized core dining operations while improving quality, consistency, and efficiency across the program. Scratch-made and freshly prepared menu offerings were expanded alongside stronger systems for training and food safety. Point-of-sale technology and tracking tools were also introduced, improving visibility and day-to-day management.
Menu variety and engagement were enhanced through interactive concepts, including tossed-to-order Wing Wednesdays, customizable burger bars, and fresh chopped salad stations, all of which brought greater flexibility and energy to campus dining.
Expanding Campus Hospitality Services
As the partnership evolved, Loyola expanded campus hospitality services to better support the broader campus community with the addition of an on-campus coffee shop and an internally managed concessions program.
The coffee shop introduced grab-and-go items, smoothies, espresso beverages, and specialty offerings that aligned more closely with student preferences and modern food trends. The enhanced concessions program elevated the experience at athletic events and school functions through more consistent service and expanded offerings.
The partnership also supported significant growth within Loyola’s catering program. What was once centered primarily around smaller daytime functions evolved into a comprehensive hospitality program capable of supporting receptions, plated dinners, reunion events, athletic hospitality, donor functions, and large-scale campus gatherings.
Results
The partnership has created a more engaging and connected food service experience across the Loyola campus. Key outcomes include:
Today, dining services extend far beyond the traditional cafeteria setting, supporting daily dining, athletic events, catering, and campus-wide hospitality initiatives through a more integrated and flexible approach.
Partnership
A key driver of success has been the strength of the partnership between Loyola and Quest. From the beginning, the operation was developed around Loyola’s unique culture, values, and expectations rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
The program has also become increasingly student-driven over time with ongoing feedback on menus, concepts, and services that continue to reflect preferences and food trends.
Equally important is the strong connection between the dining team and the Loyola community itself. Many team members have served the school for decades, bringing deep familiarity with Loyola’s mission, traditions, and expectations.
